Electric Warrior - The Marc Bolan Story

Sometime in 2019 I received an offer for the film rights to my third Bolan biography 'Metal Guru' (Extradition/Cadiz Music, 2017). After signing the contract and submitting a script that I had written 'on spec' a few years earlier, there was serious talk of casting Harry Styles in the title role and lively discussions regarding who we preferred for director. Unfortunately, the pandemic intervened and meetings were disrupted, decisions delayed before the production company chose a director who insisted on writing his own script. I have no idea what became of the project, but I thought fellow Bolan fans might be curious to read the script to this 'lost' biopic, especially as it grew from many lengthy discussions with his widow June who acted as my manager in the early 80s as well as numerous interviews I conducted with Marc's friends and fellow musicians going all the way back to my fanzine 'Cosmic Dancer' in 1978.
