Godwin Archives, Volume 3: Epistles From Parolee and Other Hill Family
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Throughout four generations, the Godwin family of central Texas has preserved their letters and cards. Now in lavishly illustrated form, they are available for the enjoyment of all descendants of the family, friends, and neighbors mentioned in this correspondence. This collection of letters, featuring the author's great-great-grandmother, Lucinda 'Parolee' Godwin Hill and her family members, is the third of a series of volumes of such messages. Messages from Nollie Hill Godwin's father's family are included in this volume, from their immigration into Texas in 1879 until Enoch and Nollie's marriage in 1908. Messages from Parolee herself continue past this date since she only lived another seven months. Other messages of the same time frame are included in other volumes. Facsimiles of the actual pages are included along with commentary on family events and places of residence. Also included are many genealogical charts and reports.
