Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
William England was the principal photographer for the London Stereoscopic Company. In 1863 his first project as an independent was to tour Switzerland and Savoy. A series of 130 views were published under the patronage of the Alpine Club. England made at least seven further tours of the Alps publishing over 1000 views. This collector's catalogue is illustrated with over 500 of England's stereoscopic views (in B&W at half scale) and a list of all currently known titles of the Views of Switzerland, for which no catalogue has yet been discovered. A short biography is included and an analysis of the various styles of card used and his relationship with the Alpine Club.
