These stories, culled from “The Little Flowers of St. Francis” written in the 14th-century (most likely by the Franciscan Ugolino Brunforte), bring us face-to-face and heart-to-heart with the real saint and with his genuine followers: radically Catholic in their faith and works; ascetics, holy fools, and mystics of the Mass; enthralling in their colorfulness, yet a challenge to our modern assumptions. There is divine wisdom in these pages that we have forgotten and need to re-learn. The text is graced with artwork from a rare 1921 German limited edition of “The Little Flowers.”
NOTE TO BUYER: The high cost of this book is the result of full-color printing with a hard cover. I earn only $4 per copy.
