First Fruits in Jerusalem

Around the year 966 BCE, King Solomon desires to build a temple for his God in Jerusalem, Israel. From his friend, King Hiram of Tyre, he not only receives timber but also a master craftsman. Huram-Avi is sent to Jerusalem to help King Solomon with this gigantic task. The moment Huram lands in Jaffo, he not only encounters prejudice, mistrust and challenges, but also a forceful opponent. Despite his struggle with a forbidden love, Huram stays true to his calling – casting the bronze objects in the clay grounds between Succoth and Zarethan, near the Jordan River. Surviving two attempts on his life, it is during Shavuot (Pentecost), 958 BCE, that Huram offers his Bikkurim – Firstfruits to the LORD in the dedicated Temple in Jerusalem.
