Song of the Guru

Song of the Guru is a sutra, a poetic instrument whose power flows only when its intent is understood. Song of the Guru is designed as a meditation. If you approach Song of the Guru with the attitude that it is an instrument to escape spiritual prisons, then Song of the Guru transforms your experience of the guru by connecting with the true energy that forms the guru principle. Unfortunately, Westerners see guru texts as cultish so they cannot use them properly, to achieve freedom and not further enslavement. The world sees the spiritual prisons that arise around the guru and condemns the guru for placing his students in such slavery. But it is the students who create spiritual prisons, not the guru. This text is designed to correct the mental attitudes that create spiritual prisons. In addition to the stura, Song of the Guru includes an introduction that explains the origin of spiritual prisons, and an afterword conversation with Swami Kaleshwar, a modern guru.
