Commencement Address at Rutgers College 1831

1831 Commencement Address by Rutgers College President Philip Milledoler, who also serves as Professor of Theology at Dutch Reformed Seminary of New Brunswick, N.J. He had a close connection with the Collegiate Presbyterian Churches in New York, the founding of Princeton Theological Seminary, and the American Bible Society. The Emancipation of American slaves is a key issue developed here, as Milledoler looks to freedom extended to Africa by way of the Colonization Society.
