This is a sequel to Cooking Disasters, where I encountered -- and somehow survived -- malaria, bus wrecks, a Haitian witch doctor, rogues with knives, and a host of other disasters that required guardian angels. Amazingly, I have also had extraordinary things that have happened to me that do not seem to happen to other people. So, those stories, accompanying photographs, and the recipes that remind me of those events have been compiled in this cookbook. Again, you don't have to cook to enjoy this read. But, if you wander into the kitchen with these recipes, you may discover a new favorite international treat.
