Catechism of the Council of Trent
Issued by Order of Pope St. Pius V
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Originally created as a catechism for Catholic parish priests to instruct the faithful with, the “Catechism of the Council of Trent”, otherwise known as “The Roman Catechism” or “The Catechism of Pius V”, is considered the most authoritative and universally recognized catechism available. It was published under the decree of Pope St. Pius V in 1566AD and edited under St. Charles Borromeo. Popes, Catholic theologians, cardinals, and saints have always pointed to it as a bulwark of Catholic theology. Pope Leo XIII recommended seminarians read two books: St. Thomas Aquinas’ “Summa Theologica” and this catechism. In the present-day crisis of the Church, this catechism stands as a reliable, trustworthy source of Catholic doctrine.
Pope St. Pius V, pray for us!
