The American Protestant mission to the Assyrians which was established in 1835 by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM) was transferred under the jurisdiction of the American Presbyterian Church in 1870. In 1869 the mission was renamed Mission to Persia and later was divided into the West and East Persia Missions. The West Persia Mission included Urmia, Tabriz, Salamas and Mosul and was mainly directed towards Assyrians and Armenians. This volume contains the annual reports of the West Persia Mission for the period from 1871 to 1904.
