These plumes /hat badges were used in the British Empire from 1908 till 1947 and after in the British Commonwealth till 1968 . In Canada 1908 till 1952 these were British mades until the paterns were adopted and manufactured by Scully , Montreal. The plumes used in Canada were for Scouts canada members from the orininal design in 1908 . It was decreed in 1935 by B-P , that english scouts and french scouts would be in 2 associations for reason of language and religion .
