World peace is achievable through debt relief. Debt relief is not a slogan; it is a request, a prayer, a demand and a challenge to all the developed countries for award of forgiveness to the low-income countries and developing countries, which are financially unsound to debt serving. Debt relief is the moral duty and responsibility of the rich countries as they have received more money as compared to the grants and loans they have given to the poor countries. In this twenty first century, 1.3 billion people manage their livelihood with less than US $1 per day, 2.8 billion people earn less than US $2 per day and 854 million people are food-insecure. Hence the developed countries, foreign funding institutions, world organizations and international banks should accept humanitarian and moral responsibility to award grants, aids, donations and debt relief to the poor countries and poor people for a lasting world peace.
