1.Plagiarism in Monotheistic Texts The claim that monotheistic religions have plagiarized their texts from earlier sources, such as the library of Nineveh and Egypt, is not a new one. However, it is essential to approach this claim with a critical and unbiased lens. Scholars such as Tom Harpur and Michael A. Hoffman II have argued that the Bible contains numerous instances of plagiarism from earlier pagan texts (Harpur, 2004; Hoffman, 2005). For instance, the story of the great flood is present in several ancient cultures, including the Sumerians, Babylonians, and Greeks. Moreover, the similarities between the biblical account and these earlier texts suggest a shared source or plagiarism.
