This is the autobiography of the Kingdom of Hawaii’s last monarch, Queen Liluokalani. Go with her deep into the heart of the tumultuous times leading up to and including the overthrow of her reign. This book was written by the Queen during her time under “house arrest”, while she was confined to a single room of Iolani Palace by those who overthrew her throne. The political, social, economic and spiritual issues of the day, being numerous and exceedingly complex, were all factors and influences that led to the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. This book will give you insight into many of the events of the day from the perspective of Hawaii’s last monarch, and most beloved queen.
