Consciousness and Marbles

This book looks at consciousness from the perspective of an information system that happens to be going on in a brain. By looking repeatedly, deeper and deeper, at a trivial 10-second event (in my life), and using a scientific approach, functional aspects, deeper and deeper, of the consciousness subsystem of the information system are characterized or hypothesized. Senses and feelings (emotions) are included. Some principles suitable for a science are put forward. This is a very mechanical, scientific analysis, and it suggests a purely mechanical character of consciousness. The book has a few brief, non-negative statements about spirituality and religion. The surprising results toward the end, on a better mathematics for human knowledge, having nothing to do with consciousness, are mentioned in greater length in the online description of the paperback version of the book. Some online sites may have a preview of the book. The paperback has page numbers and an index, an eBook cannot.
