The “Tear of Alasad” is following the life of Zephyron who we meet living in a peasant’s village. One day bandits rampage through his home and kill his father, leaving his mother for dead. Zephyron manages to flee but returns soon after the bandits have left to see if his mother is still alive. She is, but in her dying moments she tells him that they are not his real parents and he is in fact the heir to the throne of Alasad. However, there is the major problem of getting his birthright back since his father was poisoned by his own mage who has now taken the crown for himself. This new emperor reigns with terror.
Zephyron is told by his dying carer that he must train at a secret training camp on the island of Arrandor so that he can ready himself to fight for his birthright. On his journey to Arrandor he meets a young woman, Taira who he falls in love with. He also has meetings with various other people who help him on his journey of discovering his history and who he is.
