"Breaking Barriers: Still in Motion" presents a selection of artworks created by USF and Tampa Bay military veterans using only cellphone cameras. The product of two summer workshops led by photographer Selina Román, and assisted by Christian Cortez, the veterans photographs present reflections on “Still Life, Memory and Place” using objects and landscapes filtered through a variety of lens-based and digital techniques. Their videos present narrative “Moments in Motion” using several approaches to narrative, filmmaking, and a variety of video techniques.
