A Roman Odyssey : Book One of the Chronicles of Adam Black the Teenage Time Traveller

Set in the autumn of 1959 close to the River Tay in Scotland, 12-year-old Adam wanders through a wood shortly after a storm. Heavy winds from the storm have blown over a tree, revealing a stone structure with an opening. Adam enters the passage and finds himself in a totally different environment, leading him to the discovery that he has an ability to travel through time. As Adam learns more about himself and his powers, he discovers they aren’t simply a gift – they can also be a curse, as he seems to be forever landing himself in trouble. In this first instalment of the series, Adam finds himself a prisoner of the Romans, then under attack by northern Celtic tribes.
