Truth & Beauty School

In this wry romantic comedy Forrest Cone, a struggling musician, decides to become a hairdresser in order to pay the bills until he becomes famous. While attending beauty school he meets Linda Lague, the spoiled youngest daughter of a convenience store magnate, who, by befriending and abandoning him, forces Forrest to confront the effects of his troubled childhood. Through turns poignant and hilarious, the novel explores the curly turns life makes when you haven’t decided where it is you happen to be going.
