My 82-year-old mother came to live with my family on Thanksgiving, 1997; she died quietly in her own bed on July 22, 1999. This is the story of her time with us and the positive impact she had on our life. But beyond that, it is intended to share what we learned, because we know that others in the Sandwich Generation will care for older family members, possibly while still caring for children. It is better to plan ahead for that whenever possible.
