This is about the days gone by; some voicing despair, others clinging to hope and humour, about modern life, and the way his generation is being propelled into 'an India ' they can't relate to, or recognise as their own. He is a proud Indian, like most Indians abroad who dwell in those INDIAN MEMORIES - a product of their own nostalgia.
Anybody, regardles of nationality will see themselves in his stories - share his lament - and insist some were so like their own. He expresses evey middle aged Indian's anguish and rages he can do little, except write of the way - WE ONCE WERE.
