2008 Historically Speaking

2008 Historically Speaking is the third annual volume of historical articles published in The Oak Ridger newspaper. One of the series included is the amazing experience of a young lady who grew up in Oak Ridge and when she left her home to attend college had to wrestle with the idea that she was part of the city that helped create the Atomic Bomb. She went to Hiroshima, Japan, to process the full impact of what her town had done. She documented her emotional journey to reality and came to grips with her past through first-hand experiences and writing about her journey. I was pleased to help her by publishing what she wrote.
