There are many layers in society. I am sure you are familiar with the eighty – twenty principle. This principle states that eighty percent of the wealth, affluence and for that matter everything else in the world is in the hands of twenty percent of the people. It is also claimed that eighty percent of the work in most organisations are done by twenty percent of the staff. There is even the view that eighty percent of the income earned in most organisations are earned by twenty percent of the staff. There is thus a small percentage that takes home eighty percent of the available income while the remainder of the staff must be satisfied to share the remaining twenty percent of the distributable income. I personally feel that the twenty percent perception is far too generous. I am convinced that a figure of ninety five percent opposed to five percent might be a far more accurate depiction of reality.
