AVON’S STRANGE WORLDS began publication in November of 1950. This science fiction title is a venerable showcase of amazing talent. There are scripts by Gardner Fox, John Michel and Henry Kuttner and as fantastic as the writing is, it’s the artwork that makes AVON’S STRANGE WORLDS such a remarkable series. Any fan of E.C.'s WEIRD SCIENCE and WEIRD FANTASY comics will definitely enjoy this collection. AVON’S STRANGE WORLDS contains STRANGE WORLDS #1-9 and #18-19 (There were no issues #10- 17). Although issues #20-22 were published, they were war/battle comics, not science-fiction. While battle comics are great in themselves, we decided to keep them separate, and give you the science fiction content. This edition has all the great art and stories one could hope for but without the pesky and redundant advertisements.
