From the little town of Sleepy Gap, Kansas, to the street of the hustling and bustling New York City
comes the magnificent Millie Collins, a young and beautiful, young women looking to make her
dreams come true. Her adventures begin when she meets photographer Clicker Holbrook and begins
a roller coaster career in modeling. Along the way her cadre of friends expands and her adventures
with them.
Millie appeared in over 250 comic issues in the Timely/Atlas/Marvel line, including 207 of her own
original title and eventually became an official member of the Marvel superhero universe. Millie was
created by Ruth Atkinson and was initially published in 1945. The series would go on to be written by
Ruth Atkinson and other comic book greats such as Stan Lee. Millie was drawn by Ruth Atkinson, Pete
Riss, Ken Bald, Mike Sekowsky, and the famous decade long run by Dan DeCarlo (#18-93).
Unfortunately issue #1 and 2 are not in the public domain. That stated, this book was compiled with
the best images currently available. These comics are seventy years old and the best efforts
have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible. Not every panel is perfect and some
allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
