The Toodles one shot published by Ziff-Davis is based on the comic strip that ran in the Chicago Sun from 1941 to 1961. The series was family friendly with a touch of adventure. The series told serialized adventures of the Toodle family. There were occasionally daily gag strips, but not often. Ziff-Davis published only one issue of The Toodles. Why it is numbered as issue #10 is unknown. Also in this issue is the fantasy story Twinkie by Tex Blaisdell Have you ever seen or heard about a particular comic, but were disappointed knowing that, since there was only one issue of the title, it would never be reprinted? Well, Retro Comic Reprints One Shot Wonders are here to help! The mission of RCR One Shot Wonders is to make individual public domain comic books, whose titles didn’t last long enough to be collected as series, accessible in print again.
