In 1954 Frederic Wertham's Seduction Of The Innocent hit the stores; it accused comics of destroying the minds, morals, and social health of American youth through graphic depictions of sex, drugs and violence. He cited many specific comics in his now-debunked tirade against comics, including the books in this volume: MYSTERIOUS ADVENTURES #11, STRANGE WORLDS #2, RULAH, JUNGLE GODDESS #22, THE BEYOND #27, WEIRD MYSTERIES #7, BLACT CAT #27, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #2, DYNAMIC COMICS #17, PLANET COMICS #53, TEEN AGE DOPE SLAVES, CRIME CLINIC #3, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT #3, DAGAR DESERT HAWK #19, WESTERN ADVENTURES #3 and MURDER INCORPORATED #8 This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are seventy years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the overall contents.
