What We Believe and Why

Alliance Baptist Church considers exclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered people to be an abomination. Jesus NEVER rejected anyone! Consider who He visited, who ate with, who he lived with. Consider who He reached out to. Jesus chose the most unlikely and socially outcasts to be His friends. If Jesus called on a tax collector; which was the lowest and most detestable person both socially and religiously; to be his friend, and even went the distance to declare that “Today salvation has come to his house, because this man too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost.” (Luke 19:10 NIV) In the face of adversity Jesus took a stand against the “religious” people who would keep the “detestable” tax collector separated from a relationship with God. In the same way, Alliance Baptist Church desires to make the way of salvation open to whosoever will call on the name of Jesus Christ as Lord.
