A Smaller I: Conception to Birth

A sequence of clear drawings illustrates human prenatal development from conception to birth. The main events during the pre-implantation period, the embryonic period, and the fetal period are summarised. As well as showing the changes occurring in the embryo and fetus, the illustrations also show development of the supporting structures such as the amnion and placenta. This small book will be helpful to those beginning a study of human embryology for a course in medicine or nursing, and will be of interest to anyone who is curious about how a baby develops before birth.
