Just north of Whiterun’s border with the Pale lies an old ruin. Legends talk of a lost crown whose bearer is destined to rule all of the Kingdom of Skyrim. This trinket would prove useful in the ongoing civil war between those loyal to its suzerain Empire and those who wish autonomy. Thus Imperial forces deploy there en masse.
