Why Not Me?

It is likely that you have never considered the possibility of serving as pastor of a local church. The idea may even scare you. However, the best servant leaders are those that feel ill-equipped, unprepared, and even unworthy for such a role. This book is written to help you see a glimpse of the types of men God has graciously given such a significant responsibility. You will find them to simply be ordinary men who are will to say "here am I. Use me any way you desire to bring glory to yourself God." These men, recognizing they are unworthy, lean on Jesus for everything they must do to fulfill such a calling. They do their best "to present themselves to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of Truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) They are not perfect. They struggle trying to balance family, work, and ministry. But they find indescribable joy through serving God by ministering to God's people and their local community.
