Before you start reading, you should know this about me. I take God and Jesus Christ very seriously, yet I'm not adverse to pointing out the foibles of His people. God is perfect, we are not, and neither is the institution we call the Church. Although this book contains an awful lot of funny material, you'll discover, when you get to the last part, a serious side. You see, I believe that if someone is to become a truly joyful person, he or she should read the Scriptures to discover how serious God is about their right to be authentically happy.
