Lloyd Notes and Facts Volume II
ByJames B. LloydRichard W. Watson, Jr.
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
These volumes are an update and expansion of the original Lloyd Notes and Facts compiled by Reah McGaffey and published by her in 1990. The texts and photographs chronicle the life and descendants of Henry Lloyd, Sr., who died in Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania in 1802. He and his father, David, settled in Frederick Co., Virginia before 1744 and Henry moved his family to Pennsylvania by 1774.
Included are over 18,000 descendants of Henry and his wife, Judith (Pemberton) Lloyd, along with sidebars on some allied families including Anderson, Carney, Forshey, Gerard, Moore, Patton and White.
While primarily a work of family history, these volumes touch on many moments of American history and include references to a number of historical individuals and events. An appendix honors the hundreds of descendants (or their spouses) who served in the armed forces. Another appendix lists other notable individuals who held public office or distinguished themselves as authors, artists or inventors.
