Rick Powell lives in Oak Forest, Illinois. He is a lover of horror and dark fiction and his dark poetry and stories have appeared in numerous publications. Along with those, he has published a book of short stories titled A Vault of Whispers and a novella titled Teacher. His poetry books consist of My Soul Stained My Seed Sour, and More Regrets Than Glories. This is his first children's book.
Hailing from parts unknown, Kentucky, John Sowder began writing and drawing for multiple small press publications during the 1990s. After a lengthy hiatus, he returned to illustrations and worked on Drew Edward's comicbook HALLOWEEN MAN, A.C. Comics, RED STYLO Publications and the LOVECRAFT E-ZINE. The same material that fueled his imagination as a child (comic books, Warren magazines and Grade-Z movies) still inspires him today.
