In 2006, a team of 19 students from Sheffield University set out on a month long expedition into the rugged White Mountains of Crete. They camped in remote valley at an altitude of 1650m and spent everyday searching for new caves. By the end of the expedition they had discovered over 4km of new cave passage spread between a total of +200 entrances.
