Rivers of Gold

In the late summer and early fall of Canada's Yukon Territory, zoologist and countryside ranger, Robert J. Brown, takes a journey by canoe along the Teslin and Yukon rivers. With photographer Gary Cook, they explore the wilderness, meeting its wildlife and encountering the ghosts of the rivers' goldrush past. Their journey continues on the Dempster Highway, through Tombstone Territorial Park and up to the Arctic Circle. In a humorous and thought provoking tale of adventure the author brings to life the natural world and questions our attitudes towards it.
