About Robert E Hoyt

Robert (Bob) Hoyt MD FACP has practiced internal medicine for over 35 years both in private practice and the military. He uses his clinical and medical research experience to critically analyze informatics literature. He along with his wife Ann Yoshihashi MD, created the first edition of the textbook in 2007 and the textbook is now in its seventh edition. Dr. William Hersh (OHSU) is the new co-editor for the seventh edition. Dr. Hersh is Professor and Chair of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology at OHSU. He has a long history of lecturing and publishing in informatics. He is now the author of multiple chapters in the seventh edition.
