A creation of Robert Leslie Bellem, Dan Turner, Hollywood Detective, appeared in hundreds of stories from 1934 to 1950 in the pulp magazines of the Culture and Trojan lines. The Dan Turner stories ran through three distinct phases: volume 3 deals with the final period, from the end of 1943 to 1950.
