Intractable Conflicts in Africa - An Analysis of the Causes and Nature of the Ethio-Eritrean Conflict

This paper made an analysis and evaluation of the border dispute between Ethiopia and Eritrea with the objective of finding potential solutions to the conflict. In the same manner that a detective looks at the scene of the crime trying to find clues which could lead him or her to the assassin, this paper attempted to discover areas where the Ethiopians and the Eritreans could agree by exploring the declared positions of their respective leaders, and provide some potential recommendations about how to address the delicate situation between the two neighbors.
