Hit & Run

ByRoger Toft

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Ted Hurley managed to talk Mary Laske into going out with him on one date, but once was enough for Mary. Ted remained infatuated with her and wanted to continue the relationship, but Mary refused. On a stroll through the city park one evening, Mary and her new suitor, Ken Mayfield, were confronted by Ted and the gang he ran with. Ted instigated a fight with Ken for dating Mary and ended up with bruised ribs and a dislocated jaw for his trouble. In the following days, Ted thought of little else other than a way to gain revenge. He knew Ken rode a Moped back and forth to work at his part-time job and, following him in a stolen car one evening, Ted knocked Ken off the road, hoping to break a few bones on his victim. He ended up killing him instead. Ted was obsessed with staying out of jail for this crime. That he would resort to any means to accomplish this goal was revealed by his subsequent actions. But on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, Ted's wayward journey finally came to an abrupt end.
