All my 'LOVE SONNETS.

I will explain to a reader that I have had some of my poetry, my ‘Nearly-Sonnets’ published before and considered it would serve me better to put them all into one book so that the reader has them all tucked neatly into a place of reader’s comfort. My use of the words ‘Nearly-Sonnets’ is my way of explaining that, whilst the writes do not conform to the rigid structure of what is considered to be a perfect Sonnet, my poems do conform to the fourteen lines and it is this which allows me the use of the word Sonnet. Lovers of poetry will understand that the imagination of the ‘Love-Poet’ is a vibrant and quivering mass of confused and convulsive colouring, never held to a strict rigidity of form. How might a lover ‘Love’, or poet write, if the imagination is constrained. In this light, I might ask the reader to forgive my lack of conformity and read in a gentle way… Ron S King.
