The Shoshone and Bannock people of Fort Hall Reservation (Idaho) were allowed by treaty to hunt in Wyoming, until the residents of Jackson Hole and Wyoming State government conspired to end their access to sustenance. The test case involved Chief Racehorse, John Racehorse, Sr., and it was fought to and through the U.S. Supreme Court.
