PUZZLE MATH: Mixed Computations with no Variable

The first page of this 2-page publication has 3 worked out example problems, one on percent, one on using order of operations, and one on dividing decimals. On the second page students complete 12 problems: 3 percent problems, 2 problems on dividing decimals, and 7 problems on using order of operations and signed number rules. There are no variables in these problems. Students enjoy the built-in feedback provided by the secret message to decode. This is an excellent mini review on skills that can help students to prepare for standardized tests. The worksheet checks itself; a teacher need only make sure that the student shows his or her work.
