Researching The Role Of Formal Prayer In the Therapeutic Process With The Focus On Adolescents

ByRudolph David De Witt

It's not everyone who has the skills to apply God's truth principles in their lives. A focused guideline about prayer therapy will be discussed. The modern day life, which is submitted to constant, change, demands high expectations from Christians, and without prayer therapy, the Christian counsellor will experience difficulty, if not at all fail, in the final healings process. The primary lesson to be learned is that one's knowledge must be broadened by study and dependence on the insight that God gives regarding a successful prayer life. Praying is not only about getting an answer for the problem, but also to introduce the client to a new unknown spiritual life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Payer therapy is a melting process in seeking God's Will. Prayer opens up the transcendent realm, which is the avenue for integrating the spiritual dimension. This adds wholeness to the person who is embedded in a holistic matrix of total existence.
