The book records what a 19-years-old girl exactly experienced as a birth control taskforce member in years of 1975 - 1976. Focusing on a grassroots level birth control taskforce, this book introduces the political, social, and economic background back then in China, tells in detail how the team members carried out their mandatory duties, and vividly narrates stories of villagers during the campaign.
