This is my second short stories collection. "Sanguis Vita Est" concerns a monstrous underground troupe, led by the Prince of Darkness, and their search for the soul of music. "His Infinite Eye" posits a version of Heaven heavy on bureaucracy and struggling with contradiction. In "The Last Disco", a cop in a new city finds his first case is a mystery that will test his morality. "Supernothing" is the story of a young man who finds his confidence - but is it just chemical reaction? Like a stopped clock, language breaks down in "Clocky Knocks Come Bleak a Billion More", a tiny, terrible tale of loss and longing. "The Wizard of Hambridge Hotel" is but a boy, but a boy with a brilliant, devastating, perhaps supernatural, talent. "The Genie & Mr Millard" share a dangerous dreamworld, fighting crime in a version of Prohibition Chicago in unfamiliar, film-set form. Finally, "Come Round" is a story of love between two victims of abuse, who become lethally bound.
