A struggling New York City actor has a change of luck when he waits on the woman of his dreams in the restaurant he works at. They share a love affair that makes him realize there is more to life than chasing fame. But when she abruptly leaves and returns home to Australia to chase her own fame, he is left in sadness, having experienced the perfect love and unable to find happiness in his ways before her.
