This is a true story. Rob was on holiday in France with his family in 1988, when an evening swim turned into a life-changing event for them all. Rob went from being a healthy, active 16 year-old to a tetraplegic, paralysed from his neck down. This account is written by his Mum. Ruth writes about the lead up to and the first year following that fateful night; the heartbreak, the determination, the support and love that kept them going.
