Rutland Barrington created roles in all the Gilbert and Sullivan operas from The Sorcerer (1877) to The Gondoliers (1889) with the exception of The Yeomen of the Guard. He went on to have a career in Musical Comedy and in the Music Halls. This is his first volume of reminiscences.
