Columbus Legacy, African Perspective

The reader will learn the significance of Columbus's four voyages. His second voyage change the course of history because it was a conquering and colonization effort. It was the beginning of the European conquest. Notably, Columbus enslaved the Indians during the development of the colonies and most importantly; his initiative was the precursor of slavery in the Americas and colonialism in Africa. This presentation represents an African perspective and summarizes how his legacy has an ever lasting effect on African-Americans in the western hemisphere and Africans in Africa.
